 Bipasha Basu: Bips is looking super slim and we think her ex-beau John Abraham’s fitness mania rubbed off on her. A teetotaler and non-smoker, Bipasha is also part of the 100 surya namaskars a day gang of girls. She has different training routines designed for specific days of the week which focuses on specific body parts. Looking at her bootylicious figure we are inclined to believe she has cracked the code. Bips does everything in moderation – yoga, stretching, dance, cardio, spinning and circuit training. And more importantly, she strongly adheres to the Love Yourself mantra – propagated in her fitness DVD!


 Shilpa Shetty: Possibly the first actor in Bollywood to release a fitness DVD, Shilpa Shetty’s love affair with yoga when she had to deal with neck pain. She moved on to Ashtanga yoga later. Apart from working out, the actor does simple things like taking the stairs or walking. Being a hardcore non-vegetarian, she loves her chicken. She has replaced bread, rice and sugar with their brown versions. To maintain her flawless skin, she drinks aloe vera juice daily. Soups and salads are on her menu, so are pulses and veggies. The actor goes easy on her diet one day of the week, and has desserts of her choice. Shilpa is a tea lover and likes the normal as well as green variety.

 Sonam Kapoor: Following in one’s illustrious father’s footsteps is no mean feat but this lassie does it with aplomb. Not only has she inherited Anil Kapoor’s repertoire of acting skills; but also religiously follows his fitness regime as well. She has started doing Bikram yoga (hatha yoga performed in a very hot room). Perhaps that’s her father’s secret that makes him look so young and dapper compared to his contemporaries. Considering Sonam’s adolescent weight problems, we highly recommend she stick to this form of exercise to maintain her svelte shape!

 Kareena Kapoor: B-town’s original size-zero girl practises power yoga and does at least 50–100 surya namaskars every day – no mean feat! In fact, this traditional form of complete exercise seems to be a favorite of our Bolly divas. Apart from Kareena Kapoor, actors Soha Ali Khan and Sridevi also claim to have crossed the 100-surya-namaskars-daily mark. Kareena, also does 500 kapalbhatis every day, a breathing method for weight loss. She stays away from crash diets instead eating what she likes in moderate quantities. Her diet is vegan comprising mostly of soups, fruits, salads and yogurt.
